EMERALD GREEN

Emerald green has a rich and vibrant character to add to a color palette. It is also my birthstone which gravitates me towards loving the color even more. Whether its a peacock feather, stones, or textiles; Emerald has a certain richness that has everyone wanting it.

Angelina Jolie wore her emerald earrings best with a gorgeous black gown.

Keira Knightly wore this beautiful emerald dress in "Atonement." Costume designer, Jacqueline Durran chose this color to symbolize temptation. As soon as I watched that movie I was tempted and determined to have my own!

In my recent search I came across these two dresses, designed by Emilio Pucci. The cut outs in this dress are simply sexy.

My sister was assigned a project in Otis fashion school where she had to use inspirations from Moroccan tiles to produce a bathing suit line. Below are two of the tiles she used for pattern and color inspiration.

This amazing space, designed by Kelly Wearstler, shows how stunning the color green can look when set contrasting against neutral tones. The sofa is kelly green, which makes the space feel comfortable. However, if the sofa was reupholstered with an emerald green velvet, and the rug was custom made to replace the green to emerald, this space would scream "rich!"
